Hello, I’m Cindy. I’ve always been fascinated by the complexities of our minds and how our life experiences affect the way we think, feel, and behave. We are often presented with challenges that can disrupt our wellbeing, affecting our daily life and rhythms. Despite these obstacles, I am continually encouraged by our ability to build resilience and overcome personal challenges, no matter the size. I believe that counseling offers individuals the opportunity to not only navigate our hardships but also to build resilience and strive for emotional, physical, and mental wellness.
My goal as a therapist is to meet you where you are and work together with you to pursue your goals. By cultivating a safe, caring, and trusting environment, my hope is for you to feel the freedom to explore your deepest concerns and pursue positive change.
I have experience working with individuals, couples, and groups of all ages, across a wide range of presenting issues including: anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, identity issues, self-esteem, and relational/familial conflict. I especially enjoy working with children and adolescents, using creativity and play in therapy to make sessions more engaging and effective for younger clients.
I seek to model a therapeutic approach that best aligns with each of my client’s unique needs, using an integration of evidenced based methods. These may include: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution focused methods. I also offer faith-based counseling as preferred.
In my free time, you’ll find me outdoors looking for adventure. I enjoy trail running, hiking, and biking with my husband, friends, and family, soaking up as much sunshine as possible. When I am feeling creative, I enjoy watercolor painting, singing along to musicals, or making homemade pizza.
